Alerts
The Monil app helps you stay on top of your herd by tracking activity, location, and collar status. If something unusual happens, you’ll be notified directly in the app. All alerts are available under Home → the alarm icon in the top left corner of the map.

Alerts in the Monil App
Escape: An animal is marked as escaped when it moves outside the virtual fence. You will receive a push notification on your phone.
When an animal crosses the fence boundary, the collar first gives an audio warning. If the animal does not turn or stop, it will receive an electric pulse. This is repeated for up to three rounds. After that, the collar will stop giving signals until the animal has returned inside the fence and attempts to cross again.
Animal is stuck:
A push notification is sent if an animal has been almost completely inactive for 10 hours. This may indicate that the animal is stuck, injured, or unable to get up.
Animal is completely still: You will receive an alert if an animal shows no activity. This could mean the collar has fallen off, or that the animal is not moving at all.
Low activity: An alert is sent if an animal is significantly less active than normal over several days. This may be a sign of illness or lameness.
High activity: An alert is sent if an animal is more active than usual. This is calculated by comparing it’s activity level over the last three days. Increased activity may indicate heat.
Battery: You will receive an alert when a collar has low battery.
Collar unavailable: An alert is sent if the collar has not reported for more than 2 hours. This may be due to poor network coverage or a drained battery.
